LND Goals & Values

Here at LND Canines. we focus on every aspect of a dogs’ needs in order to fulfil them both mentally and physically. We look into their diet, genetics, sleep schedule, and exercise needs to curate a tailored plan for their walks. We build understanding and trusting relationships with all of our dogs and clients, giving you the support and guidance you need. We provide your pup with consistency: rules and boundaries are maintained when your pup is out with us, so that they don’t pick up bad habits and have clarity within their training. This helps them to navigate life with confidence knowing there’s a solid communication system in place. Our aim is for our dogs to thrive, whether that’s making friends, running about or having a sniffari we want them to enjoy their walks to the fullest!

Meet Lola & Dolly

Hi, I’m Lola the person behind LND Canines. After begging for a dog for years, I got my spaniel puppy Dolly when I was 13. I wanted to teach her fun tricks and try some agility but was instead thrown in the deep end of dog training. Together we’ve faced many challenges including reactivity, low confidence with people, resource guarding and her intense food drive which led her to scavenge on walks. This pushed me further into dog training to learn how to fix our problems, build a bond and actually enjoy walks together.

Over the years, I have shadowed a variety of professionals in the dog industry. I’ve spent time with Thames Valley Police helping train their puppies to become licenced police dogs. I also spent over a year with a local agility trainer, helping teach group classes from beginner level to advanced. I’ve helped with scent-work workshops, teaching a dog how to thoroughly search and find a scent article. I have also spent time shadowing Prometheus K9’s, Lots Paw Walks and Odie Walks on 1-1 training sessions and group walks. These experiences have exposed me to a variety of training and behavioural issues.

I have completed the Phoenix K9 Dog Training mentorship, is a six month program covering everything from raising a puppy and behavioural modification to the use of tools and specialist skills. It has been the best thing I've ever done and it has given me extensive and invaluable knowledge on handling and training dogs. I’ve also signed up to the Raven K9 membership, which is a library of videos of various training sessions with different dogs working through topics like motivation and reactivity. Additionally, I am currently undergoing the British College of Canine Studies course on The Dog Walkers & Sitters Association (DWSA) Certificate. This combines dog Behaviour, Dog Law, and AMTRA & CPD Accredited Canine First Aid courses.

I am canine first aid certified (level 2 VTQ), DBS checked and pet business insured. This all ensures I provide the highest standard of care for your dog. I believe you can never ‘know it all’ so I dedicate my time learning from as many people as possible, travelling across the UK to attend workshops and seminars, trying out new dog sports and shadowing where the opportunity arises.

In the summer of 2025, I entered the Phoenix K9 pet trials in obedience and bitework, which challenged me in many ways. I entered with a friend’s dog, Erebus, to widen my skillset. Since he was unlike any dog I’d handled before, we prepared by meeting up multiple times a week for a few months. I had to work on my muscle memory to make sure all his commands were perfect, we practiced the tasks repeatedly to iron out mistakes I made and had lots of play sessions and walks together to build a bond. On the day, we won ‘best all rounder’, this was my biggest achievement of the year. Here is a photo of us with our awards! This summer, I plan to re-enter the advanced obedience with Erebus and the novice obedience competition with Dolly.
